Check out the current show at Gallery 121 in Bridge Street, Belleville, before it closes on 9th February.
MUSE is a painted and photographic response to the sculptural fabric creations of Saralou Miller, by photographer Medhi Agahi, and painters Jennifer Topaz Bruce, Laurie Gruer, Penelope Patrick and Kato Wake.
The exhibition is more akin to an installation with references and interplay between the sculptural, photographic and painted elements.
Definitely, more to see than the sum of its parts. Gallery 121 is a not for profit artists’ collective putting on exhibitions every six weeks or so, and which also participates in “Art Walks” in the vicinity, making a great contribution to the cultural life of the local community.
Submissions for proposed exhibitions are welcome and applications for new members are welcomed. check out www.gallery121artists.com
