Steven Page Brings His Legendary Voice to Peterborough Musicfest on Saturday July 12th
Peterborough, ON — July 7, 2025 —
Peterborough Musicfest is thrilled to welcome one of Canada’s most distinctive voices, Steven Page, to the Fred Anderson Stage at Del Crary Park on Saturday, July 12, as part of the festival’s 38th season.
It was the late 1980s when a promising young musician from Scarborough — presumably in between visits “to the late-night record shop” — dropped into a Harvey’s following a Peter Gabriel concert and struck up a conversation with a classmate he hadn’t much liked before.
United by a shared love of Gabriel, Steven Page and Ed Robertson became friends and cofounders of Barenaked Ladies, one of Canada’s most successful and beloved bands. Together, they sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and collected a staggering list of accolades: multiple JUNO Awards, SOCAN Awards, Billboard Music Awards, two Grammy nominations, and an induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2018.
After leaving the band in 2009, Page launched a solo career that has produced six studio albums, including Page One, which featured the singles “Indecision” and “Over Joy.” Over the years he’s performed at the NHL Winter Classic, contributed to film soundtracks, and even collaborated on a musical for the Stratford Festival. During the pandemic, his innovative livestream concerts built a close-knit community of fans while keeping the music alive. Page is also a member of the Canadian supergroup Trans-Canada Highwaymen, alongside Moe Berg, Chris Murphy, and Craig Northey.
This will be Steven Page’s second time headlining Peterborough Musicfest, bringing his remarkable catalogue of solo and Barenaked Ladies material to the lakeside stage.

The Jim Cuddy Band to Take the Stage at Peterborough Musicfest Wednesday July 9th
Peterborough, ON — July 7, 2025 —
Peterborough Musicfest is proud to welcome one of Canada’s most celebrated musicians, Jim Cuddy, to the Fred Anderson Stage at Del Crary Park on Wednesday, July 9, as part of the festival’s 38th season.
When Jim Cuddy met Greg Keelor as teenagers at North Toronto Collegiate Institute, no one could have predicted the decades-long creative partnership that would follow — one that shaped Canadian music with their unmistakable folk-rock
sound. Together, they formed Blue Rodeo in 1984, going on to release 16 albums, earn 15 JUNO Awards, the Order of Canada, and, most recently, induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2024.
Cuddy’s solo career has been equally prolific. With a string of acclaimed solo albums — and collaborations featuring artists like Kathleen Edwards, Sarah Harmer, and Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy — he continues to inspire and entertain audiences nationwide. His latest record, All The World Fades Away, reflects on his journey with grace, introspection, and an affirmation of life today: “It’s not wrapping up or being nostalgic for old times. It’s just… surveying.”
The Jim Cuddy Band has taken the stage at Musicfest three times previously, including a landmark appearance with Blue Rodeo in 1996. Joining the evening’s programming is Cale Crowe, returning to Peterborough Musicfest following his standout performance opening for Aysanabee last summer. This year, Crowe appears as part of the Future Sound Series presented by Cogeco, which showcases emerging and exceptional local talent.
